Best Way of Achieving 30 HoM Point? (I Have 26)
I really want to get 30 HoM points before GW2 comes out. I currently have 26, and am not entirely sure what to do for my last for. I don't care what I do, I just want to do whatever is quickest.
The main problem is I'm currently broke. I have about 10 ectos, about 15 lockpicks, and about 8 zkeys I can sell to fund these points. So given that, what do you guys think would be the quickest points to achieve? Obviously if more money is required, then the time taken to earn that must be factored in. Here is my current idea: http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=d...AAAA AAAFAAIA Thanks for your help! |

Here's a thread I made just a few days ago that may be of some use to you. Your proposed way of getting to 30 is reasonable, but you'll need a bit more cash to do it.

First off all, I agree with captain you just miss the funding to get what you propose.
Doesn't mean it is impossible. I would suggest to first invest money and time in a unique miniature. You did sorrow's furnace and finished all campaigns. That means you can farm all the materials needed for the black moa chick. This still needs you to make an investment, but it is a lot less then buying the miniature in kamadan. The adding of the black moa would mean 27/30 Furthermore I see you did a nice bit of hard mode things. So I think you and your hero's team should be more then capable of farming Dajkah Inlet for stolen sunspear armor (if you have multiple characters, try switching after you got the first three, cause the droprate seems to decrease after you got the first few). Your team should also be able to get the black widow in UW. After that you only need one more hero armor to get 20 companion statues. The last one you could prolly get yourself as well in the shadow nexus That would mean 28/30 in what I suspect is 10 hours work and you still got all your funding. For the last two points you need to invest. But I would recommend getting a bit more money and farm enough eotn points so you get the asuran armor and the norn armor. They require to have rank 5 with the asura or the norn but are cheaper then any other elite armor. You can also get the ebon vanguard one instead it's basicly the same. but I find farming the ebon vanguard points a lil bit harder outside of wintersday then the rest (but if you have the ebon on lvl 5 already and norn not then go for that one). That would bring you on 30 points. as well and it is a lot more doable with your current funding (though you still need more funding). |

Also, if you are strapped for additional funds...have you picked up your 10 free zkeys as yet? Speak to High Priest Zhang for 50 Tournament Reward Points (will show up in your Hero window, hit "H" to bring it up and check the 3rd tab). You can redeem them with Tolkano for 1 zkey per 5 TRPs. Both are located in The Great Temple of Balthazar.

Here's my recommendation http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=d...AAAA AAAAAAIA
1 point for Devotion - Do the Black Moa quest for the miniature because it's easy and cheap. (Around 1 hour) 1 point for Fellowship - Farm 5 Stolen Sunspear Remnant from Dajkah Inlet because it's very easy. (Around 10 minutes per run but it should drop at least 1 to 2 per run) Then charm the Black Widow Spider from the UW NM with this guide http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Spider_run. (15-30 minutes) Then do 1 run of The Shadow Nexus or buy 1 ancient/mysterious armor remnants. (Less than 20 minutes per run) 2 points for Resilience - Choose 2 between Asura, Norn, or Monument armor because they are the cheapest. (40k + 35 rare materials + 350 regular materials) Be sure to check up their materials on wiki and choose 2 that have the same materials so you can save gold and salvage the materials of the 1st set for the 2nd set. Shouldn't take you more than 12 hours and 100k to do it Last edited by Lysinc; Aug 11, 2012 at 05:05 AM // 05:05.. |

My advice would be to get 6 Minipets (1 Unique and 5 other - preferably white, due to cost of purple and gold's) in Devotion.
Then pursue either; 2 Elite armors in Resilience or try to get 1 point in Fellowship (7 Hero armors needed) and 1 point in Honor (3 titles). First option is faster, but more expensive; for the second one you'd only pay for Hero armor (lot cheaper than buying 2 elite armors) and try getting 3 titles till 28th. |

Why would he need to pay for Hero armor? He can easily farm them all, he has finished Nightfall, and the drop rates are high for your first 2-3 armor pieces.

It only takes few minutes to get ("farm") hero armor.
